About us

We bring you to the forest

At Wyldforest, we have a deep love for the outdoors. We're a team of passionate nature enthusiasts led by Kai, Tobias and Fabian, together with many experts who've spent years exploring and studying the forests of the world.

From the forests of California to the meadows of the Pacific Northwest, we guide you through some of America's most stunning natural spaces.

Each of us brings our own skills and knowledge, especially when it comes to wild mushrooms, edible plants and the secrets of the woods. Inspired by the spirit of American pioneers who embraced adventure and freedom, we're blazing new trails in nature exploration and creating tours that immerse you in the wild.

With Wyldforest, you won't just walk through nature, you'll experience it. We venture into the wilderness as strangers and return with unforgettable memories and new friendships.

How Wyldforest started

Like so many startups, our story began with friends and their passion. From Fabian's love of nature and Tobias' passion for good food, the idea of Wyldforest was born. We wanted to make the forest accessible to people and bring it home to our customers. Over time, it became clear that bringing the forest home wasn't so easy.

The colors, smells and tastes of nature, the full sensory experience, can't be packaged. So we stopped bringing the forest to you and started bringing you to the forest.

That was the idea for our first mushroom tour, and it wasn't the last. Together with our CEO Kai, we create nature experiences across the USA that connect people with the beauty of America's landscapes.

Our team

Together as guests in the forest

We couldn't reconnect city dwellers with nature on our own. Over the past years we've grown a team of guides and an office crew who make every tour happen.

  • Real Wyldforest experts

Every guide brings their own personality and stories, and a love for the local forest.

  • Out every weekend

We spend our weekends outdoors with you, in small groups and at an easy pace.

  • A team behind the scenes

Dates, permits, weather checks and fast replies to your emails. Write to us at contact@wyldforest.com.
